Ulrich Merres
In 2006 Ulrich Merres was appointed asDirector of Architecture for Tilke GmbH & Co. KG.
Upon completion of his studies in architecture at the RWTH Aachen University in 1990 Ulrich Merres went on to work for the renowned architecture firm Böhm in Cologne.
In 1991 a job change to a large architecture firm in Aachen follows with focus on HOAI plan of work stages 1-4 for various comprehensive housing projects. After two years of planning activity, he takes up a job at an architecture firm in Düren in 1993 where he functions as the head of architecture for major projects in the field of housing, commercial and administrative building. He is in charge of both design stage and detailed planning stage.
In 1995 he changes to Tilke GmbH, where he is responsible for architectural design and subsequently becomes department head of architecture.
His main focus increasingly moves from projects in housing and administrative building to race track architectures. Among other he designs the building constructions for the new race tracks of the 2000s.
