In 2025 Dr. Vanessa Mientus was appointed as Head of Sustainability for Tilke GmbH & Co. KG.
Dr. Vanessa Mientus studied Architecture at RWTH Aachen University from 2000 to 2007, building a strong foundation in design, engineering, and urban development. She joined Tilke Engineers & Architects in 2007, starting her career in racetrack architecture and motorsport infrastructure.
Driven by a strong interest in the intersection of architecture, economics, and long-term development, she completed her PhD at RWTH Aachen University in 2019, specializing in real estate investment and long-term development strategies. In 2026, she began her second doctoral research, focusing on sustainability in motorsport, with a particular emphasis on racetrack design, infrastructure, and operations.
Over the past 19 years, Dr. Mientus has worked on numerous international projects across all phases of racetrack development—from concept and master planning to construction and operations. Her work increasingly integrates sustainable design principles, aiming to align high-performance motorsport facilities with environmental responsibility. In 2025, she was appointed Head of Sustainability.
