In 2015 Klaus Schackers was appointed as Director of Architecture for Tilke GmbH & Co. KG.
Following a successful finish of an apprenticeship as a carpenter in 1988 he starts an interior design study at Lippe/Detmold University of Applied Sciences and graduates in 1990.
Afterwards he takes up a job at a renowned architecture firm for housing in Aachen. His main focus lies on planning activities (approval, implementation, detailed planning) for smaller construction projects. Subsequently tender and construction management tasks for larger projects mainly in housing were added.
A job change to Tilke GmbH in 1998 involves responsibilities like planning support of large residential and commercial housing projects and expertise support for two subsidiary locations at that time and later predominantly sub project management of major race track projects.
After the implementation of an internal certified quality management system in 2002 first administrative responsibilities were included. Succeeding a stay abroad assignment in 2005/06 the focus of activities increasingly shifted towards administration, i.a. office management at the Aachen location, HR and operational planning as well as contract management.
