In 2024 Marcus Krott was appointed as Director of Architecture for Tilke GmbH & Co. KG.
Marcus Krott earned his certification as a cabinet maker in 1990 before pursuing his diploma in Interior Architecture at the College of Higher Education in Trier, Germany, where he studied from 1990 to 1997. This combination of practical and academic training laid a strong foundation for his future work in complex, design-driven environments.
He joined Tilke Engineers & Architects in 1999 and quickly progressed through various roles. From 1999 to 2005, Marcus worked as an architect on several major international motorsport projects, including the Bahrain International Circuit, Shanghai International Circuit, Circuit de Catalunya, and Istanbul Park. Following this, he led the architectural design for prominent racetrack venues such as Circuit of the Americas, Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, Rio Racepark, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit and Lusail International Circuit as Head of Architecture. In 2024, Marcus was appointed Director of Architecture.
