Already in its debut year the modern track was priced as „Best Grand Prix“ by IRTA.
Motorland Aragón has its roots in the street races of Alcañiz, where motorsports events took place from 1963 to 2003. Because of the leak of security those races were stopped and the construction of a modern motorsports complex began. Racetracks of Category A (FIM) and Category 1 (FIA) for formula 1 and Moto GP including pit buildings, medical center and presenter.
