In 1997 Ralf van Wersch obtains a degree in civil engineering from Aachen University of Applied Sciences.

Having worked as student assistant at Tilke GmbH in the field of civil engineering and road construction, among other in waste disposal construction and waste disposal decontamination projects, he returns to Tilke GmbH after an engagement as a project engineer at an Aachen planning office for hydraulic engineering and environmental technology.

Following some years of project processing through all HOAI plan of work stages the main focus increasingly moves towards sub-project and project management for national and international projects, whose focus lies more and more in the field of motor racing sports.

After diverse project management responsibilities he was promoted to head of civil engineering and road construction at the Aachen location, including extensive acquisition activities both nationally and internationally.
