In 2025 Toan Lien was appointed as Lead Civil Engineer for Tilke GmbH & Co. KG.
Toan Lien studied Architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen, Germany, from 2001 to 2006. Before he started his professional career as a draftsman in civil engineering with a focus on road construction, followed by several years working as an Urban Designer and Traffic Consultant for various companies in Germany and the United Kingdom after his Diploma. He finally joined Tilke Engineers & Architects in 2015.
Since then, Toan has contributed as Project Manager to a number of major international developments, including Daimler Test and Proving Ground Immendingen, Bahrain Sports City, Exhibition World Bahrain, the Lusail International Circuit and the refurbishment of the Shanghai International Circuit. Over the course of these projects, he focused on civil engineering aspects, combining his background in architecture and urban planning with technical infrastructure expertise.
In 2025, Toan was appointed Lead Civil Engineer at Tilke in our Headquarter in Aachen. His interdisciplinary approach and deep understanding of both design and infrastructure make him a key figure in the planning and execution of complex, large-scale projects.
