Driving Safety Centre (RSTC) on 25 hectares of history
The airport Groß-Dölln was built in 1952 and used by the Russian military until 1994. With its 1.5 metre thick concrete runways, the airport was even designed as an alternative airport for the Russian space programme. After the withdrawal of the Russian military forces, the Driving Center Groß Dölln was able to use the wide area for itself from 2002. At the beginning, the existing infrastructure was used for car and motorcycle training, but the facility was quickly expanded to include specially irrigated areas, skidding surfaces and a handling course that is unique in Germany. In 2009, a modern and challenging racetrack with a total length of 4250 meters was built and as a result the Driving Center Groß Dölln became the largest driving safety center in Europe.The existing buildings were included in the transformation to a driving safety centre and adapted to today’s demands through useful modernisations. Equipped with the latest technology, the facilities offer optimal conditions for events and conferences.
